Details of the offer

Amongst other duties, the Office Administrator and Receptionist will: manage the diaries of the relevant staff and responsible for the general administrative function for the unit including reception duties; book staff training; book tests for students with accommodations; organise, allocate and coordinate examination venues for students with accommodations; manage payments of readers, scribes and invigilators; manage the relevant charges to students accounts; be a liaison with the IT department and offer technical support for students with accommodations (including computers, recorders for readers and scribes and the dragon voice program); manage approved external tutors; assist with daily errands that may arise; be able to work independently and as part of a team; have a good command of the English/Afrikaans language; have strong administration skills and experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment; have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Workspace; have high levels of accuracy and attention to detail; be organised, methodical and flexible; have excellent interpersonal and time management skills; be intuitive and have a high level of emotional intelligence, displaying empathy and understanding at all times; have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in an office support role.
