Occupational Health Nurse

Location: Clinix Health Group: Occupational Health Clinic (Phalaborwa).
Job Summary: Responsible for the management of occupational health services including primary health care, dispensing, stakeholder engagement, and providing ongoing reports and management of clinic staff.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

BCur Nursing degree/diploma.
Current South African Nursing Council (SANC) registration mandatory.
BTech in Occupational Health.
Dispensing certificate.
Expert knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act), Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and ISO/IEC 17020-201.
Certificate in audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening.
Computer proficiency – MS Office, SAP or similar.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Occupational Health.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Perform all duties in accordance with South African Nursing Council (SANC), Department of Health (DOH) and National Core Standards.
Ability to carry out examinations and procedures in terms of the governing legislation for occupational health.
Conduct all types of medical fitness assessments, pre-employment, transfer, annual, and exit.
Assist with primary health care management.
Manage and appropriately refer minor injuries on duty.
Perform audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening and highlight significant abnormalities to the Occupational Medical Practitioner.
Assist Clinic Manager with monthly reports and audits.
Perform standby duties.
