Network Technician

Icebolethu Group is looking for an objective Network Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing network systems, whilst ensuring the smooth operations of IT and Communication networks within an organization as well as the day-to-day Helpdesk support. The role will be based at our Offices at No.: 225 uMbilo Road, Durban within the Group ICT Department a Division of Icebolethu Group.
Minimum Qualifications Matric Certificate - (Grade 12 or equivalent). A+ & N+ Certification. Diploma/Degree in Information Communication Technology or related field Valid Driver's License Experience and Knowledge required. Minimum of 3 to 5 Years of Proven Network Experience. Proven experience with basic network device configuration (routers and switches). Strong understanding of fundamental networking concepts i.e. LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and subnet addressing. Knowledge of network security protocols and best practices. Skills and Competencies required. Proven experience as a network technician or relevant position. Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication skills. Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies. Hands-on experience with common software and hardware.
