Millwright

The main responsibility of this position is to carry out routine and preventative maintenance of all allocated plant and equipment machinery facilities and the machining of components and spares.
Skills : Maintain plant equipment Perform plant maintenance during the shutdown period Understand and interpret new drawings and manuals Install new machines and equipment as and when instructed Responding to emergency machine breakdowns throughout the plant Do regular inspections of plant equipment Give feedback to Maintenance Supervisors on breakdown root cause analyses Attend to all relevant breakdowns during standby period Complete DMS Work orders and Work order book to keep a record of work completed Apply for parts by making use of the requisition procedure Operate the Leathe and Milling machine to manufacture parts and spares Machine calibrations and setups Automation improvements and installation of electrical equipment Maintenance and improvements on electrical control systems Health and Safety Participate in safety forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talks Followup on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management Report all safety incidents to the relevant people Attend safety education and refresher programmes Comply with safety policies and procedures at Soill Distribute safety information as and when required Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times
