ROLE PROFILE: MILLWRIGHTReports to: Production ManagerROLE OUTPUTRemove and replace motors and ECV's. Terminate / join cable (525V and lower voltage cable).No-load test run of motor / VSD on soft-starter unit. Distribution switching (380V/400V) for maintenance purposes. Maintenance of battery charger and uninterruptable power supply unit.Replacing / repairing of LV VSD's. Testing of profibus network. Electrical installation inspections.Arc welding in the workshop. Replacement or removal of LV motors. Replacement of PLC power supplies.Inspect and replace explosion protected equipment. Remove or replace MV or LV transformers.Fault finding on 110V to 400V live (bare conductors) electrical equipment (will only be done in abnormal circumstances). Fault finding on isolated electrical equipment. Installation of earth clamps on road tankers and bulk sampling. Replace submersible pumps. Cabinet cooling fan replacement. Cleaning of voltage transformers. HVAC maintenance and split units. Insulation resistance on electrical equipment.Isolate 400/525V process equipment. Energize 400/525V process equipment. Testing and replacement of classified electrical plant equipment, e.g.: junction boxes, socket outlets, welding sockets, fire and gas sirens, distribution boxes, hand stations. Inspect, repair, replace electrical heaters (oil and process heaters). Battery maintenance. Repairing and replacing of lights in buildings. Basic substation maintenance (not switch gear / distribution board, etc.). Lifting equipment by means of an overhead crane, drott (grove) and forklift. Use of portable electrical power tools. Use of pedestal wire brush machine.Use of pedestal grinder. Use of scaffoldings. Use of mobile steps and ladders. Use of hydraulic punch / chassis punches and crimper.Additional ResponsibilitiesRemove and replace valves at Unit 17, 18, 35, 89. Tighten up or repack glands on valves at Unit 17, 18, 35, 89. Replacing handle or gearbox on a valve at Unit 17, 18, 35, 89. Remove and replace pump at Unit 17, 18, 35, 89. Pulling up pump glands. Repack pump glands on the plant.Remove and replace v-belts, pulleys, chains and sprockets. Perform alignment on pumps in plant. Remove and replace piping and flexible hoses. Remove and replace piping (Field welds on site). Install temporary clamp on pipelines and piping (On high temp/pressure lines PDA to be conducted). Safe making of vessels (DM, TK, RE, ES, EX, FT, CT) for vessel entry.Further DutiesRemove and replace nozzles in cooling towers & pastille belts. Removal of bolts and nuts/studs when corroded or stuck on a flange / general grinding work on site or in workshop. Hot bolting - pulling up bolts / studs when equipment is on line. Remove and replace wax filters. Working in an acidic / alkaline environment or equipment. Clean strainers and traps.Using sloggers to loosen and tighten bolts / studs. Using impact wrench to loosen and tighten bolts/studs. Perform hydraulic pressure testing. Making use of hydraulic jack.Using the hydraulic press to remove bearings and couplings from shafts in the workshop. Using rigging/lifting equipment. Working/using overhead crane / jib / crawl beams / mobile cranes. Using or working with mobile cranes. Operating a cherry picker. Making use of electric tools (Applicable to M,E and I). Safe use of a stanley retractable knife (Applicable to M,E and I). Performing welding work inside workshop. Use of chisels / punches / wedges. Maintenance to carbon addition system (Unit 17). Replacement of gearboxes.
