Our target market is the low and emerging-middle income segment.This role manages marketing strategy and marketing deliveries designed to grow market share and achieve business objectives. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through the efforts of others, over periods of up to a year.Responsible for market development of a particular strategic segment (including acquisitions, cross-sell and upsell).Collates, analyses and interprets market intelligence data for the segment.Accountable for specific marketing focus (such as brand, product marketing and CVP delivery) to the segment.Develops and executes marketing plans directed at intermediaries and end customers.Responsible for communication (including to the media) and marketing activities of the Segment.Conducts presentations and facilitates marketing workshops, events and seminars.Briefs design agency on creative work.Responsible for direct mail and leads campaign into the Segment.Develop and execute Above-the-Line (ATL) and Below-the-Line (BTL) strategies that integrate traditional and digital marketing approaches.Continuously analyse and optimise campaign performance, ensuring high ROI from digital channels and strategic use of data analytics.Ensures brand consistency on all client-facing material.Builds relationships with suppliers (internal & external), vendors and internal and external stakeholders.Manages relationships with the regions and the Provincial General Managers.Ensures on-time delivery of marketing plans.Manage and allocate the marketing budget with a focus on optimising spend.Ensures in-budget delivery of marketing initiatives.Coordinates the elements of client launches.Manages up to 5 direct reports.Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, with specialised roles in digital marketing, brand management, and content creation.Align the team's growth with Old Mutual's business ambition, ensuring continuous learning in omnichannel tools and strategies.Requirements:A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing Management, Advertising, Commerce or a related field.Post-graduate/Master's Degree advantageous.10+ years of marketing communications, brand and experiential activation experience.Track record of demonstrable success in overseeing marketing campaigns across segments.Budget management experience.Skills: Brand Management, Content Creation, Digital Marketing, Distribution Marketing, Marketing Campaigns, Marketing Initiatives, Marketing Strategies, Product MarketingEducation: Bachelors Degree (B)Closing Date: 28 November 2024The appointment will be made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the specific business unit in question.Old Mutual Limited is pro-vaccination and encourages its workforce to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.All prospective employees are required to disclose their vaccination status as part of the recruitment process.Please refer to the Old Mutual's Covid-19 vaccination policy for further detail.
