Minimum Requirements: MBCHB or equivalentRegistration certificate with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in OtorhinolaryngologyCurrent registration with HPCSA as a Medical Specialist (2024)Recommendation: Computer LiteracyKnowledge, Skills, Training and Competencies Required: Sound knowledge and experience in OtorhinolaryngologyAbility to teach and supervise junior staff and medical studentsGood communication, decision making and clinical skillsAbility to function in a multi-disciplinary teamKey Performance Areas: Provide Otorhinolaryngology service as well as head and neck surgery at Victoria Mxenge Hospital and at relevant Durban Metropolitan State HospitalsProvide after hour care in accordance with the commuted overtime contractSupervision and training of junior staff working in the DepartmentPresent at academic meetings in the DepartmentTeach medical students and Nursing staff as requiredParticipate in quality improvement programs of the Department including clinical audits and CPD activitiesMaintain clinical, professional and ethical standardsAssist unit manager in developing protocols and clinical guidelinesAfter hours duties is a requirementClosing Date: 30 August 2024
