Mechanical Engineer

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in mechanical design engineering within a plant environment. This role demands strong technical skills, practical experience in plant operations, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance plant performance and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop mechanical systems and components for plant operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.Conduct detailed engineering analysis and calculations to support design decisions.Create and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.Collaborate with production, maintenance, and other engineering teams to implement design improvements and resolve operational issues.Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment.Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting to address mechanical failures and optimise system performance.Ensure all projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.Provide technical support and training to plant personnel as needed.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering within a Plant or Manufacturing environment.Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
