The role involves analysing market trends, assessing risks, and providing strategic guidance to help organizations navigate volatility, regulatory changes, and economic shifts.Key Responsibilities:Risk Assessment & Analysis: Assess market risks (e.g., interest rate, currency, commodity, credit) and analyze financial data to identify risks and opportunities.Risk Modeling & Stress Testing: Develop risk models, simulate scenarios, and conduct stress testing to evaluate the impact on client portfolios.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure client risk practices comply with regulations like Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and other relevant standards.Strategy Development: Advise clients on market risk strategies (hedging, diversification, capital allocation) to optimize risk-return profiles.Reporting & Documentation: Prepare reports and presentations to communicate risk assessments and recommendations to stakeholders.Client Relationship Management: Build strong client relationships, understand business needs, and provide tailored risk management solutions.Market Intelligence: Stay updated on market trends and economic changes to anticipate risks and inform client decision-making.Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor junior consultants, collaborate with teams, and ensure high-quality project delivery.Qualifications:Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.Experience: 2-5 years in numerical market risk, financial analysis, or consulting, with experience in risk modelling and strategy.Certifications: FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or PRM (Professional Risk Manager).CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or equivalent.Market Trends Knowledge: Understanding of global financial markets and economic conditions to anticipate risks.
