Manager, Internal Audit - Investments (GIA IAM) Job Overview Business Segment: Group Functions
Location: ZA, GP, Johannesburg, Baker Street 30
To lead and review the audit process for a portfolio of audits through audit execution and oversight of the audit team to independently and objectively provide assurance that enables client-centric risk management.
Assess and influence risk culture in the business area responsible for, through audit projects and stakeholder engagement.Assess, identify and report on practices in the scope of audit projects which negatively impact client experience and raise recommendations to improve client experience.Adhere to GIA methodology, policies and procedures. Manage adherence of team members on audit projects. Guide team members to enhance their understanding and application of GIA methodology, policies and procedures.Develop and maintain a risk assessment on all areas of risk origination and risk management of the business area responsible for, covering all the risk types to inform audit planning and reporting.Manage GIA, Group wide and other data used in the portfolio, adhering to GIA standards and relevant Group policies.Qualifications Bachelor's degree (Finance, Investment Management, Business Management, Accounting, Internal Audit or other closely related qualification) - MinPost Graduate Qualification (Finance) - PrefCertified Internal Audit (CIA), CA (SA) - MinRelevant professional membership will be required based on specialty - MinCFA, FRM - PrefExperience Required 5 - 10 years: Experience in either a corporate finance, investment management, or fund management operational processes.
OR
5 - 7 years: Experience in either internal audit or risk management function with ability to execute audits in line with the IIA standards, with:
1 - 5 years: Experience in managing teams and ensuring quality and timely delivery of audits. Operational management of internal audits including scheduling, resource allocation, coordination of audits, and stakeholder engagement.1 - 2 years: Experience analysing complex sets of data to interpret, visualise and identify trends.
