Requirements B Com or equivalent qualification APD Market Dealers Examination (Safex) Experience in the agricultural industry – minimum 6 Years Working knowledge of the Agricultural Industry Working knowledge of grain marketing Understanding SAFEX operation and risks Understanding of the grain supply chain Good working knowledge of contracts and related legal terms Duties and Responsibilities Develop, deploy, coordinate, and manage the overall Grain Marketing Strategy in alignment with sales and procurement budgets and targets, ensuring business growth and expansion.
Develop internal and external networks to optimise grain purchases and manage grain prices.
Collaborate with Logistics to ensure seamless service delivery where required by clients.
Compile action plans with defined outcomes, measures, due dates and responsibilities to support departmental goals.
Execute mandates for buying and selling grain and manage purchase premiums on contracts.
Identify and develop new business opportunities.
Ensure that effective business processes are set up and maintained.
Act in accordance with Company values in all interactions with staff and/or clients.
Ensure that the department/division complies with all the relevant legislation.
Proactively identify possible risks and ensure timely action to limit and/or prevent risks.
Manage the Business unit/division budget.
