Lodge Manager, Responsibilities Coordinate guests reservations, check-ins, and check-outs Ensure a welcoming and friendly environment for guests Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service addressing guest concerns or complaints Arranging Bush delights, special occasions, special holidays, etc. Supervise lodge staff members, create work schedules, assign tasks, arrange leave applications, and gate applications, and monitor staff performance Ordering and management of stock, consumables, and all the assets of the lodge Monitor all financial transactions, including guests bills, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and correct recording of information Meeting, greeting, and hosting all respective industry agents Overseeing administrative duties Ensure high levels of standards are maintained at the lodge at all times Game Ranger, Responsibilities Hosting of guests Daily Game drives and Bush walks Maintenance of gardens, property, and general upkeep of equipment and premises Basic Vehicle maintenance skills Responsible for all relevant property, facilities, and equipment maintenance Lodge Manager, Requirements MUST HAVE at least 5 years of Management experience in a 5-star Lodge environment H ospitality Management Diploma or equivalent Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team Excellent operational experience encompassing all aspects of Lodge Management including HR, Admin, Finance, FOH & Guest Experience Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with guests, staff, and external stakeholders. Good MS Office experience Familiar with NightsBridge Booking platform and Extranets or similar software Good understanding of financial management principles and experience with budgeting and cost control Marketing and Social Media experience Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure Availability to work flexible hours as well as extra hours when required No Pets and No children on site South African citizens only Game Ranger, Requirements MUST HAVE at least 5 years in a Game Ranger, guest hosting/management role in a lodge environment FGASA level 2 (NQ4) or Professional NDT Registered Valid Drivers License and PrDP Off-road driving in 4x4 vehicles Valid First Aid Certificate Rifle Accreditations and ARH Trails Guide qualification with VPDA Computer literate Experience with POS would be a benefit Astronomy knowledge would be advantageous Excellent operational experience encompassing all aspects of Lodge Management including Maintenance, gardens, equipment, guests, staff Must be professional and presentable No Pets and No children on site Ability to operate independently South African citizens only
