Maintenance Supervisor - Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape R40 000 CTCA leading automated manufacturing company is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor at the Port Elizabeth Factory to oversee factory maintenance operations and resources, ensuring production targets and optimal product quality standards are met in a safe and efficient manner.Key Responsibilities:· Maintenance Operations and Control· Perform reactive, predictive, and preventative maintenance on all plant/infrastructure/equipment to limit potential failure and optimize production· Coordinate first-line maintenance to prevent plant/equipment downtime· Raise job cards for maintenance work, ensure necessary work permits are included· Participate in fault analysis on equipment failure (Root Cause Analysis 5 WHY, 8D, etc.)· Approve job cards post-maintenance· Ensure equipment and work areas are safe and maintained by operators· Evaluate and recommend improvements to optimize factory system efficiency and reliability· Troubleshoot and resolve production process or quality issues· Operate within controls and procedures to ensure integrity· Identify and report risks or areas of concern to management· Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and procedures· Take responsibility for Health and Safety by addressing unsafe practices promptly· Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers· Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for necessary repairs or upgrades· Identify and solve problems creatively, demonstrating integrity in line with core values· Ensure all employees have signed performance agreements· Conduct employee appraisals quarterly· Identify staff performance objectives, development areas, and action plans in collaboration with HR· Ensure ongoing training and development of employees· Supervise and train maintenance technicians, ensuring adherence to safety standards and procedures· Address employee relations matters fairly and promptly· Contribute to the budget preparation process· Promote and communicate efficient use of financial and other resources· Monitor and control expenditure against budget, report deviations· Maintain records and reports on maintenance activities, costs, and performance indicators· Explore opportunities to control and reduce costsQualifications and Experience:MatricTrade Test (NQF 5)BSc / BEng - Mechanical / Electrical/ Mechatronics. 4 years in an automated manufacturingUp to 5 years of experience in maintenance management or supervision in a manufacturing environment, with 1-2 years at a supervisory levelExperience working shifts (advantageous)Sound knowledge of automated manufacturing equipmentComputer Literacy (MS Office Suite; SAP; ER, MES, and ERP systems)In-depth knowledge of maintenance practices, procedures, and processesUnderstanding of compliance with applicable legislation, safety, and manufacturing regulationsStrong technical skills and knowledge of machinery, tools, and equipment used in the factoryAbility to handle pressure and conflict situationsStrong understanding of structured problem solving and root cause analysisSupervisory experienceExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAttributes:· Proactive· Action-oriented· Problem-solving and analytical skills· Flexibility· Ability to work under pressure· Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines· Planning and organizing skills· Supervisory skills· Customer-focused· Resilient
