Logistics Planner (Temporary Contract)

Overview:The position is within Automotive Logistics / Planning and is based on-site at the client.
It reports into the Senior Controller.
It is a fixed-term contract, ending on 31 January 2025.
Minimum requirements:Matric / Grade 123+ years experience within same industry / similar environmentSAP knowledgeAdvanced MS Excel skills, including: PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Data TablesMRP / Supply Chain Management experience – advantageousDriver's License and own vehicle Responsibilities:Ensure material ordering and supply, action material ordering to cater for demand fluctuations and ensure buildability in respect of material availability to Production ProgramAction MRP exception messages dailyEnsure ideal stock levels are maintained on Import and Local parts coordinating with relevant suppliersEnsure the successful implementation of Engineering Changes / Model Years (both on Import and Local parts), as well as ensure minimum obsolescence and timeous processing thereofManage and control all road, air and sea-freightMonitor and correct system parameters on a weekly basisPerform adhoc tasks as requested by managementEnsure supplier (including freight suppliers, local and import suppliers) queries and account queries are dealt with timeouslyDemonstrate and instil a culture of integrity in diverse supplier, personal and service provider environmentAdministrative tasks and processing of relevant documentation to be maintained on a daily basis (Local supplier 3 Step & 5 WHYs, obsolescence, maintaining SLOCs, etc.)
