A VACANCY EXISTS IN THE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT IN BERLIN (East London, South Africa) FOR A LOGISTICS MANAGER
Primary purpose of the job
Organise Berlin's logistical activities and workforce. Train, motivate, coach and lead employees. Control performance results. Lead the logistics operations in Berlin to ensure optimum logistic performance with the highest customer satisfaction. Implement guidelines and procedures to ensure uniform operations in all logistical areas. Identify key performance indicators and introduce methods to monitor and improve short comings.
Key Performance Areas:
Identify, introduce and monitor key performance indicators.
Ensure the highest customer satisfaction
Compile, implement and maintain procedures to ensure uniform operations
Ensure optimum logistical performance
Report daily/ weekly/ monthly on the status of the Logistics Department performance.
Compile the financial and capex budgets for Logistics
Manage and monitor departmental expenses against budget
Create a performance driven culture through reward and recognition for excellency
Knowledge required:
Sound knowledge of SAP/ MRP
Sound knowledge of layout & efficiency improvements
Knowledge and understanding of production processes
Knowledge and understanding of supply and chain functions
Sound knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of and abilities to execute performance management processes
Sound knowledge of IR and grievance procedures.

Minimum requirements:
3years Degree in Supply Chain Management/ Purchasing/ Business Administration
Minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain/ logistics environment
Minimum 3 years' experience with MPS/ MRP (SAP)
Minimum 5 years' experience in an Automotive manufacturing environment
