Responsibilities: Correctly receive all deliveries to stores and dispatch returns to vendors.Minimize shrinkage risk on receiving doors.Responsible for disposal of stock in terms of company policy and all admin functions relating to receiving procedures, including visitor/merchandiser entry control.Receive and return goods systematically and accurately according to laid down company policies and procedures.Conduct quality checks.Ensure that the cold chain is maintained.Ensure that hygiene, housekeeping, and safe working standards are maintained.Ensure that security procedures are adhered to.Assist with relieving security procedures at the back door.Prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damages.Complete all relevant administration/documentation.Operate equipment according to laid down standards.Communicate effectively with employees, management, customers, and suppliers.Minimum Requirements: Matric Grade 12.2 years retail food experience.1 year receiving supervisor experience.Ability to read and interpret reports.Achieving results through others.Willing to work long/flexible hours.Ability to receive goods in open areas under all weather conditions.Competencies: High level of confidentiality.Problem solving - ability to solve unfamiliar problems by generating workable solutions.Reliable and trustworthy.Efficiency - completes tasks fully to high standards of quality in a precise and accurate manner.Time management - ability to identify and prioritize urgent matters and attend to them immediately.Governance - works according to rules and regulations; focuses on completeness and accuracy of the task.Attention to detail - ability to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and mistakes.Team player - cooperates and participates with others to achieve goals.Team management - plays an active role as a member while supporting other team members.Actively promotes the company image through teamwork.Communication skills.Closing date: 29 November 2024 If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
