Requirements: Registration with the HPCSA in the category of Educational Psychologist for at least three years. For Lecturer: A completed PhD. Applicants with significant progress towards a PhD may be considered. Proven research ability as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and/or research reports. For Senior Lecturer: A PhD. Evidence of significant research experience and scholarship, including recent peer-reviewed publications in accredited journals. Educational background, teaching and research interests in educational psychology. Experience in teaching psychology at a tertiary level. This will be a permanent post subject to a three-year probationary period.
Responsibilities: Teach courses in educational psychology, research methods and/or psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate level; contributions to course-level curriculum development and transformation; academic administration; supervision of postgraduate students; willingness to pursue an active programme of research and research publication; and willingness to participate in the intellectual and public life of the school and university.
