The IIE enjoys the reputation of being at the forefront of private higher education in South Africa and is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to provide higher education qualifications accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE).The IIE Varsity College Pietermaritzburg Campus has a vacancy for a Lecturer (part-time) in the Faculty of Humanities for the following module in the first semester of 2025:Design Thinking and Problem-Solving (DTPS5111)Competencies Required:Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent presentation skillsAssertiveness and dynamismUnderstanding of customer service in educationAbility to manage work and self proactivelyMinimum Education Requirements:A Bachelor degree in Digital Design/Media/Graphic Design/MultimediaAlternatively: A Bachelor degree in one of the Digital Graphic/Media/Multimedia related fields with digital graphics or a similarly related field to the third-year level.Minimum Experience Required:Lecturing experience in digital graphics/digital design/multimediaPrevious lecturing experience within a tertiary environment is advantageous.Work experience as a graphics designer/digital animator/multimedia in a related graphical design environment.Working Conditions:Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role.Owing to the volume of CVs received, we may not be able to personally contact all applicants.
