Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description:Interface with customers to prioritize design resources and delegate tasks to engineering personnelDirect and guide design engineers on technical issues, ensuring compliance with customer and engineering standardsManage project timelines, communicate non-compliance, and take responsibility for the technical soundness of designsLead internal and external design reviews with customers and suppliersPerform CAD design, including 3D modeling, 2D drawings, and bill of materials maintenanceWork within the customer's PDM system and manage the product sales option matrixProvide production support for custom order engineering requestsSkills & Experience:7-10 years of design experience (non-negotiable)Available to travel internationally when requiredExceptional planning and leadership skills with a keen attention to detailProficient in task management, adept at handling pressure and adapting to priority changesPassionate about CAD designExcellent English communication and computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Qualification:BEng/BSc/BTech degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics EngineeringSouth African CitizenshipOnly South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.ContactWIEDAAD LEEMANon
