LAND SURVEYOR
Job Summary:
The position is responsible for measuring and mapping construction sites, providing critical data to inform the planning, design, and layout of construction projects. This role involves conducting field surveys to establish property boundaries, topographical features, and levels, using specialized equipment such as GPS, total stations, and drones. The Land Surveyor collaborates with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure that structures are built according to design specifications and legal guidelines. Accurate surveys are essential to avoid disputes and ensure that projects meet safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct site surveys to gather data on land features, boundaries, elevations, and structures.
Use equipment such as GPS, total stations, and theodolites to measure and record site data.
Prepare topographical maps, boundary surveys, and construction layouts based on survey results.
Interpret architectural and engineering plans, ensuring surveys align with project specifications.
Verify the accuracy of survey data and maintain detailed records and reports.
Work with project teams to establish construction reference points and benchmarks.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to land boundaries and survey methods.
Liaise with regulatory bodies to confirm survey results and resolve boundary disputes, if necessary.

Qualifications:

Degree/Diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering.
Certification as a Professional Land Surveyor is an advantage.
Proficiency in surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS) and survey equipment (GPS, total stations, drones).
Knowledge of local land laws and regulations.

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in land surveying, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sectors.
Experience with topographical surveys, boundary surveys, and construction layouts.
Familiarity with construction site operations and the ability to work with project teams on-site.
Strong analytical skills to interpret survey data and create accurate site maps.
Experience working with engineering and design teams to ensure surveys support project objectives.
