Description You as a L&D Partner – Africa will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Modderfontein, South Africa. Hitachi Energyis seeking aLearning & Development Partner to directly support our business in MEA, but primarily in Africa. In alignment with the Middle East & Africa Hub's vision and growth strategy, this role is responsible for the strategy and execution of our Learning & Development initiatives across a complex, global business within several geographies, facilitating structured on-the-job train-the-trainer, leadership skills, interpersonal skills and various orientation or onboarding topics. This role will have exposure in course and content development in addition to developing external vendors for customized training topics. The position holder works very closely with Country HR leader and will report directly to the Head of Talent and Learning Lead in AMEA. Your responsibilities Leading, supporting and implementing various global and local Learning & Development projects and programs regarding career development and training portfolio while ensuring diversity, equity and inclusion.Facilitating and leading training, including leadership skills, interpersonal skills, orientation or onboarding, and other non-technical training topics.Selecting appropriate delivery methods for the trainings, applying rapid design and delivery methods (virtual, classroom, blended, multi-media, etc.) which are the best match to target group needs.Training or qualifying structured On-the-Job Trainers, including coaching Structured On-The-Job Training (SOJT).Collecting data and analyzing the impact of specific initiatives as well as long-term impact of the training programs.Cooperating with external training providers and selecting and overseeing vendors to develop training content or conduct training.Acting as consultant for various stakeholders in all Learning & Development matters.Fostering a global network of Learning & Development specialists collaborating cross country and exchanging expertise as well as driving global Learning & Development processes cross business areas and geographies.Measuring learning effectiveness based on information from surveys, feedback sessions and performance reviewsMaintaining training records within a Learning Management System (LMS).Ensuring that an integrated & comprehensive WSP & Annual Training Plan is timeously submitted and aligned to the BBBEE country requirements (skills development & management control).Managing learnerships, internships and other skills programs & monitor the progress of trainees to ensure progress within the required timeframes.Working together with relevant Structures and Bodies to recruit Learners, Engineers in Training & Graduates.Ensuring that discretionary grants & rebates are optimized and processed timeously.Driving delivery on all elements of the NQF/SETA structures & requirements, also ensuring that the related administration is timeously, accurately, and efficiently processed.Actively participate and drive initiatives in relevant consultative forums such as Employment Equity and reporting on L&D delivery and performance against budget, SETA matters.Ensure compliance of local and global training programs realized locally with local laws and regulations and effectively communicate and promote training programs as well as coaching possibilities.Foster a global network of L&D professionals collaborating cross country and exchanging expertise as well as driving global learning and development topics cross business areas and geographies.Stakeholder management and buy-in for launching/implementing leadership programs.In collaboration with Talent Acquisition Specialist develops onboarding programs and orientation training curriculum for newly hired employees (new joiners).Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your background A bachelor's degree in in human resources or psychology, or relevant field is required.Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience with administration of LMS is a plus.Hands on experience as a qualified & registered SDF BBBEE elements of skills development and robust understanding of the SETA framework.Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).DDI Facilitator certification is strongly desired (requirement to achieve certification upon starting role, if not certified).Experience with Lean Principles is a plus (requirement to learn these upon starting role)Designing and developing standard/custom-made solutions as well as market experience on programs available and previous experience facilitating and delivering learning programs.Excellent problem-solving skills, and a pro-active thinker.Proven results-oriented professional with experience driving organizational change and business results.Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in South Africa.Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
