Function:Junior Buyer with Storeroom FunctionsLocation:Glen Anil, Durban, KZNCTC Package:R15,000 to R20,000 per month (dependent on experience)Key Performance Areas:Supplier CoordinationStock PurchasingResponsibilities:Coordinate supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials.Order and process stock to support project requirements.Monitor inventory levels and manage storeroom functions.Ensure all stock is stored safely and in an organized manner.Assist in negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers.Maintain accurate records of stock levels, orders, and deliveries.Prepare and manage purchase orders and invoices.Work closely with project teams to forecast material needs and plan stock accordingly.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing activities.Requirements:Qualifications:NQF 5 qualification in supply chain, logistics, or a similar field.In the absence of relevant qualifications, experience in the relevant field and at the relevant level will be considered.Experience:2 to 4 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or a similar field.Experience in the fire protection industry is preferable.Competencies:Functional:Teamwork and collaborationAttention to detailReliabilityAnalytical skillsAccuracyPlanning and schedulingStrong written and verbal communication skillsNegotiation skillsSupplier care and orientationAdditional Information:This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget by efficiently managing supplier relationships and stock.The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working collaboratively with various teams.
