Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Lead to support our infrastructure and lead a team of technical staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, maintaining infrastructure, servers, virtual machines, and network systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesImplement, configure, maintain infrastructure, servers, virtual machines, and network systems, including security measures.Provide technical support to internal and external clients.Recommend solutions, evaluate industry trends, and assist in implementing standards and best practices.Create technical documentation for processes, procedures, changes, upgrades, and implementation plans.Monitor computer systems to identify performance improvement opportunities and resolve issues to ensure high availability and security.Implement, maintain, and support cloud-based systems, including Azure.Provide technical support for internal application systems and email.Lead and manage a team of 6 IT technical resources.RequirementsTroubleshooting and problem resolution skills.Technical understanding and experience in setting up and configuring servers, VMWare, and backup software.Technical expertise in general networking.A sound understanding of Windows Server 2012 and up, including WSUS, File Server, AD, DNS, Exchange server, VMWare 6.5 and up.VEEAM Backup and Replication experience, including DR configuration, backup jobs, and schedules.Server and SAN experience, including RAID configurations, LUN configurations, and best practice techniques.Working knowledge of HP and Dell server platforms.Exposure and/or experience with Azure will be an advantage.About YouYou will have a national diploma or bachelor's degree in Information Technology (optional) and relevant technical qualifications. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role is required. Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server and VM infrastructure is essential.
