This role will involve designing and developing data and system integration solutions across all business units within RMB. Integration solutions will largely be based on the Informatica PowerCentre ETL platform and Control-M as the Scheduling platform, and using Integration standards and methodologies as defined by the Integration Centre of Excellence (CoE). To develop innovative, reusable competitive solutions and contribute actively to a collaborative Developer community.
Are you someone who can: Collaborate with BDMs and Delivery Heads to make recommendations on the use of new and emerging technologies, which provide the competitive advantage and a clear technical roadmapMaintain stability of all technical platformsInitiate dialogue to build professional working relationships with all stakeholders displaying excellent abilities to listen, advise, influence, negotiate and present at all levelsLead and facilitate difficult conflict situations into consensual agreementsIntegrate opinions and information provided by various sources to make strategic decisionsAdapt communication styles to meet the needs of different audiencesContinually scan the industry to identify opportunities to create strategic partnerships with key individuals and bodiesFollow best practice and principles governance policy frameworks and utilisation of tools for the technology of the domainEngage with the designated standards team for specific guidance and delivery of solution components to maximise impactUnderstand and contribute to a knowledge sharing environmentProduce a well operationalised solution on time that surpasses the requirements and performance expectationsDrive scalable and sustainable solutions built based on best development practicesAdopt a framework centric approach to prompt feasibility and reduces failure demandReduce the technical debt as much as possible or revisit the business expectationsEnsure technical follow up and a commit to allow for this flexibilityTake full responsibility for performance management of all direct reports managing their performance in relation to quality standards and agreed benchmarks and objectives focusing on all aspects of sound people managementEngage in recruitment development, performance management, remuneration and rewards, career path planning, on the job training, coaching, and mentoringEnsure appropriate levels of management and accountabilityMotivate, delegate, and empower appropriately, enabling direct reports to take responsibility and display appropriate creativity and initiativeWork with the team to actively grow their skills and lead them in operational excellenceDemonstrate pride in the organisations brand services and products by consistently delivering on the brands promiseFollow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintainedStay relevant and up to date with legislations and new developmentsMaintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedbackHandle stress in ways that do not negatively impact othersPlan and manage own workflow anticipating obstacles juggling priorities and following through on objectives within agreed time frames and according to quality standardsTake ownership of personal career development leveraging formal and informal opportunitiesAct in an ethical transparent and morally defensible manner including highlighting unethical practicesShare debate and communicate learningsFlag and debate issues constructivelyYou will be an ideal candidate if you: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldAt least 3 years Integration experience across multiple Integration platforms and technology landscapes (especially Informatica Power Centre and optionally Ab Initio)1 year Control-M experienceDemonstrate a clear and thorough understanding of Enterprise Integration Architecture patterns and best practicesData Integration: Understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Extract Transform Load (ETL), batch architectures and frameworksMiddleware Knowledge: Understanding of Message Oriented Middleware (for example Tibco BusinessWorks) and messaging architectures and patterns (including Tibco EMS & IBM MQ)UML modellingWorking Operating System knowledge: Windows & LinuxStrong relational database experience (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)An understanding of highly available, high performance, distributed architecturesA good understanding of Enterprise Data Modelling (Entity-Relationship Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Data Vault Modelling).
