Climate Fund Managers (CFM) is a leading climate-centric blended finance fund manager. It raises and deploys climate finance funds in partnership at scale and at pace. Through its award-winning model, CFM has created a blueprint for a new generation of climate financiers, whose collective impact can help end the climate crisis. CFM currently manages two emerging market infrastructure funds focused on climate change mitigation and adaptation: Climate Investor One, a c. CFM and the development of a Green Hydrogen economy in Namibia: NAM-H2 Fund Managers is a joint venture infrastructure asset manager established to run SDG Namibia One Fund, a bespoke blended finance fund co-designed by the Namibian and Dutch Governments to enable the incubation of Namibia's Synthetic Fuels Sector, specifically Green Hydrogen. SDG Namibia One will look to secure US$1 billion in funding to be raised in Namibia, regionally and internationally, to develop Namibian green hydrogen projects and related infrastructure. SDG Namibia One was established through a partnership between the Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia (EIF) (owned by the Namibian Government), Climate Fund Managers, and Invest International, both from the Netherlands.
This role will be recruited into NAM-H2 Fund Managers (the "Company"). The responsibilities of this role within the Company are deal origination, project preparation, and fund deployment of SDG Namibia One that will develop, invest and operate hydrogen projects and associated infrastructure and in pursuance thereof to administer unlisted investments.
Job Purpose We are seeking an Investment Manager to strengthen our Investments and Asset Management team. This role will report to the CEO NAM H2 Fund Managers and is based in our Windhoek office in Namibia. The Investment Manager interfaces with local and international CFM divisions and offices.

The Investment Manager will play a pivotal role in executing our investment strategies, managing a portfolio of green hydrogen assets, contributing to the transformation of the Namibian economy and the transition to a clean energy future.
Duties and Responsibilities Management and execution of H2 NAM Fund Managers Investment and Fundraising Strategy:
Implement investment and fundraising strategies that align with the fund's climate objectives, with a particular emphasis on green hydrogen projects in Namibia, taking into consideration ESG factors and the potential for positive environmental impact.Portfolio Management:
Manage a diverse portfolio of green hydrogen assets, including production, storage, distribution, with a focus on strategic projects in Namibia.Due Diligence:
Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, assessing financial viability, evaluating technology readiness, environmental sustainability, market potential and key risk factors.Deal Structuring:
Collaborate with the broader investment team to structure deals, negotiate terms, and secure financing for green hydrogen projects in Namibia.Risk Management:
Monitor and mitigate risks associated with green hydrogen investments, implementing strategies to preserve capital and maximize returns.Impact Measurement:
Maintain robust impact measurement frameworks to track and report on the environmental benefits of investments.Stakeholder Relations:
Foster strong relationships with project developers, partners, and stakeholders in the green hydrogen ecosystem.Compliance:
Ensure investments are compliant with all regulatory and ethical guidelines, staying up to date with relevant regulations and industry standards.Team Management:
Provide management, mentorship, and guidance to junior investment professionals, promoting a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.Qualifications and Experience Chartered Accountant or Engineer with MBA or equivalent master's degree.A minimum of 10-years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance with a strong track record in deal structuring and financial reporting in the Renewable Energy sector.Strong analytical, communication and negotiation abilities.Proven ability to work across technical/financial and legal aspects of a transaction and work with various specialists internally and with government/shareholder/lender type stakeholders to provide transaction leadership.Knowledge of relevant regulations and ESG Principles, compliance requirements, including but not limited to IFRS standards.Ability to plan and prioritise effectively: strong project/process and team management skills.Ability to apply sound business judgment and an analytical, pragmatic, and creative approach to problem solving.Technically proficient (Advanced) in Excel, Word, PowerPoint essential.Experience with working in Africa or other emerging markets is a plus.Behavioural Competencies Result-oriented: Being focused on achieving objectives and results, persevering in the face of adversity.Devotion to quality: Demanding a high quality on outputs and acting accordingly.Planning: Systematically organising activities and setting time frames, setting priorities.Initiative: Identifying opportunities or solutions, and taking action.Analysing and forming opinions: Being focused on examining matters in a systematic way.Cooperation: Working with others in order to effectively contribute to a common objective.Situational Awareness: Being well informed about developments in one's environment and effectively using this information for one's own organisation.Performance under pressure: Maintaining an effective performance under pressure, or when faced with setbacks or disappointment.
