Overview of key responsibilities:
Recruitment and Selection
Assist in job specification and design.
Post vacancies internally and liaise with recruitment agencies.
Conduct screening, selection, interviews, and background checks.
Manage invoice costing and finalize job placements.
Employee Relations
Aid line management with disciplinary notifications.
Handle disciplinary issues and provide guidance.
Represent at the CCMA and MEIBC.
Arrange telegram notifications for employee misconduct.
Facilitate disciplinary and grievance procedures and hearings.
Liaise with shop stewards and chair monthly meetings.
Training and Development
Act as Company Skills Development Facilitator.
Coordinate training requirements, including needs analysis and evaluation.
Manage training records and expenses.
Enroll or terminate employees on the time and attendance system.
Employment Equity
Assist in achieving EE Plan goals and align practices.
Coordinate Employment Equity Committee meetings.
ISO Control Documentation
Update HR documentation annually.
Maintain organogram for new hires and terminations.
HR Administration
Maintain records of received certified IDs for IODs.
Draft appointment and onboarding/offboarding letters.
Attend H&S meetings.
Requirements
Qualifications:Matric (essential)Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)Minimum 3 years' experience in an HR Generalist roleProficient in legal compliance (BCEA, LRA, COIDA, EEA)Understanding of organizational structure and processes
