Provide a holistic human resource service to line management by taking responsibility for managing every aspect of the employment process, including orientation and training new staff in addition to succession planning, staff welfare, industrial relations and supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.Responsibilities:Actively involved in all aspects of recruitment and selection by preparing job specifications, developing, proofreading and posting ads directly and/or through approved recruitment agencies and managing the employment process from start all the way through to onboarding and induction.Manage the Employment Equity programme by setting targets in accordance with legislation, holding quarterly employment equity and training committee meetings and timely submission of annual employment equity reports.Assist in the development, coordination and implementation of organisational goals, succession planning and change management initiatives through consultation with key stakeholders and track and report on outcomes.Develop and revise job profiles on an ongoing basis to ensure relevance, ensuring that all employees have been issued with, and have signed off the job profile and that they understand the contents.Continuously review current human resource practices, policies, procedures and systems and recommend initiatives to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.Interpret industrial relations and human resource policies and procedures to assist staff with queries and concerns.Conduct training and development needs analyses and contribute to the development/initiation of training programmes aimed at up-skilling the workforce and evaluate effectiveness.Review, analyse and evaluate training plans submitted by heads of department and provide feedback and guidance as required.Assist in the performance management process by coaching and training supervisors/managers in the administration and application of the performance management system and track completion.Provide advice and support regarding industrial relations matters as well as coordinating disciplinary and grievance hearings.Provide meaningful statistical data regarding employee turnover, overtime, working hours, staff complement and disciplinary issues.Attributes:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels;Strong ethics and reliability;Problem solving and decision making aptitude;Self-starter.Competency Requirements:Post matric qualification in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations;Strong negotiation skills;Fully conversant with current labour and related legislation;Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Levels of Authority:Recommend: Training initiatives;Disciplinary action;Performance management practices;Succession planning.Salary: Market related
