Responsibilities: Recruitment and Selection: Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes, including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees.
Induction and Benefits: Conduct comprehensive induction sessions to familiarize new employees with company policies, procedures, and culture.
Keep employees informed about their benefits and available training programs.
Performance Management: Oversee and control the performance appraisal process, providing guidance to managers and employees.
Ensure performance reviews are conducted timely and effectively.
Employee Documentation: Prepare and issue letters of appointment to new employees.
Manage employee contracts, explaining the contract content to employees and ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws.
Leave and Attendance Management: Monitor and control all leave days, maintaining accurate records and systems.
Handle employee queries regarding leave entitlements and balances.
HR Audits and Compliance: Conduct monthly HR audits for restaurants, ensuring adherence to HR policies and procedures.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
Succession Planning: Collaborate with managers to develop succession plans, identifying and nurturing talent within the organization for future leadership roles.
Disciplinary Processes and IR Training: Facilitate disciplinary processes, ensuring fairness and compliance.
Conduct training sessions on industrial relations (IR) to enhance managers' knowledge and skills in handling employee relations matters.
CCMA Representation: Serve as the company's representative at the CCMA (Commission for Conciliation, Mediation, and Arbitration) for labor-related disputes.
HR and Payroll Administration: Handle general HR and payroll administration tasks, maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.
Manage the full payroll function, including E Filing duties and processing garnishee orders for 300 staff members.
Exit Interviews and Workplace Forums: Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Organize and facilitate workplace forum meetings to promote employee engagement and provide a platform for constructive dialogue.
Requirements HR Diploma 4 years of HR / Payroll experience Good reporting skills in Excel 4 years of CCMA/Industrial Council experience Own car Valid drivers license Only SA citizens will be considered
