Job Title: Human Resources Business PartnerPreference will be given to Candidates residing in Cape TownSalary R450k p/a CTC depending on experienceMy client, a market leader in the blow moulding & plastics extrusion sector, is urgently looking for a Human Resources Business Partner preferably from the Plastics Manufacturing / Plastics Extrusion / Blow moulding sector.Job PurposeThe HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a key role in managing and coordinating HR standards, policies, programs, and practices. This includes workforce planning, employee relations, learning and development, performance management, and risk management. The HRBP ensures effective HR operations aligned with business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral HR SupportProvide daily HR guidance and support in line with policies.Analyze HR trends and advocate for improvements.Monitor workforce and succession planning.Support HR strategic initiatives and anchor group programs.Workforce PlanningImplement recruitment strategies to attract and retain qualified candidates.Conduct job analyses, create job descriptions, and manage postings.Oversee onboarding, induction, and orientation processes.Employee RelationsFoster a positive workplace culture and handle employee relations issues.Advise on labor matters and support disciplinary processes.Address grievances, mediate conflicts, and implement engagement initiatives.Employee WellnessDrive wellness initiatives and manage workplace injury processes.Ensure compliance with OHSA appointments and related administration.Performance ManagementCoordinate performance appraisal processes.Monitor employee performance and assist in improvement planning.Provide feedback and coaching to employees and managers.Learning and DevelopmentAssess training needs and coordinate programs.Evaluate training effectiveness and facilitate competency mapping.Manage contracts linked to learning and development.Reward and RecognitionAdminister compensation, benefits, and recognition programs.Prepare for employee-related events (e.g., year-end parties, awards).Assist with payroll processing and related administrative tasks.HR Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.HR TechnologyManage HR systems and databases, ensuring timely updates.Maintain training and disciplinary records.HR Measurement and ReportingPrepare HR reports and analyze metrics.HR AdministrationHandle employee contracts, headcounts, and rosters.Coordinate logistics such as transport and leave administration.Self-DevelopmentContinuously assess and develop personal strengths and address weaknesses.Qualifications and SkillsEducationMinimum undergraduate tertiary qualification in HR.ExperienceAt least 5 years in a similar HR role within a manufacturing environment.Accreditation with SABPP or a similar HR professional body is advantageous.CompetenciesStrong knowledge of South African labor laws and HR practices.Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data visualization tools.High emotional intelligence and problem-solving capabilities.Additional InformationMust be detail-oriented and proactive in managing HR processes.Ability to act decisively and work in a dynamic environment.
