We are looking to employ an HR generalist with outstanding analytical and communication skills. As an HR generalist you are expected to be a conceptual thinker with strong organizational and conflict management skills. You must have excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.To ensure success, HR generalists should exhibit strong decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, staffing management and training.Key responsibilitiesAssist with all internal and external HR-related matters.Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures.Recommend strategies to motivate employees.Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks and issuing employment contracts.Investigate complaints brought forward by employees.Coordinate employee development plans and performance management.Perform orientations and update records of new staff.Manage the organization's employee database and prepare reports.Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.Assist with budget monitoring and payroll.Perform orientations and update records of new staff.Manage the organization's employee database and prepare reports.Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.Assist with budget monitoring and payroll.Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.Qualification and experienceBachelor's degree in human resources or related (essential)3 - 5 years of experience as an HR coordinator (essential)Deep understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulationsEfficient HR administration and people management skillsStrong in IRStrong background in SAGE 300Experience in dealing with hourly paid or temp workers (Blue collar workers)Experience in a unionised environmentStrong knowledge in business reportingExperience on BBBEE scorecardWSP/ATRSkills And RequirementsExcellent record-keeping skillsSkills developmentTalent managementStrong knowledge of HR functions and best practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWorks comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlinesStrong computer skills with capability in email, MS Office and related HR softwareRemarkable organizational and conflict management skillsStrong decision-making and problem-solving skillsMeticulous attention to detailDesired SkillsEmployee RelationsHR PoliciesHR ManagementEmployment lawStrategic HRHR ProcessesDesired Work Experience5 to 10 years Human ResourcesDesired Qualification LevelDegreeAbout The EmployerThe employer, established in 1999, offers specialized warehouse management solutions across various industries in South Africa.
