Responsibilities: Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk management, housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage, and administration.Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the hotel.Monitor and analyse market trends, competitive set, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.Lead and motivate a team of employees, providing training, guidance, and support as needed.Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards.Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and collaboration.Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, vendors, and community partners.Handle guest inquiries, issues, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards are met.Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and innovations to enhance the overall guest experienceRequirements: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.Must have a tertiary qualification in Hotel Management.Must have 4 Star and 5 Star hotel experience as a General ManagerMust have excellent knowledge and understanding of the workings of a fine dining kitchen.Must have an excellent understanding and knowledge of a wine cellar.Must be comfortable in managing and maintaining large gardens.Must have appreciation for art Antiques and valuable objects.Must be able to cook a number of restaurant quality dishes him or herself.Must be in possession of a valid Driver's license and own reliable motor vehicle.Good knowledge of hotel PMS systems, such as Protel, Opera, etc.Must be comfortable setting up and executing gala dinners.Must have reasonable knowledge of Industrial Relations legislation.Must be prepared to work long hours.This position includes a five and a half day working week.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and time management abilities.Proven track record of achieving revenue and profitability targets.Knowledge of hotel operations, revenue management, and guest service best practices.Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software.Certification in Hotel Management or related field is a plus.Remuneration: R50 000 R60 000 per month.
