Requirements: Good all-round knowledge of Information Technology with a passion for the subjectRelevant teaching qualification from a recognized institutionMinimum of 3 – 5 years teaching experienceExperience in teaching Information Technology to matric level, preferably within the IEB syllabusWell-developed inter-personal skills with the ability to lead and inspireAn excellent command of and experience in written EnglishSound computer and digital literacy skillsProficiency in Java programmingSACE registeredJob Responsibilities: Teaching Information Technology to Grade 10, 11 and 12 pupilsTeach Grade 8 and 9 basic computer skills, robotics and codingAssisting students who need extra supportBe prepared to assist in extra-mural programmes of the schoolStay current with industry trends and developments to ensure relevant teachingDevelop and implement lesson plans that meet academic standards and cater to students' needsThe successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a commitment to embracing the core values and guiding principles of Durban Girls' College.
