We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of People who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management within the organization.
Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent, while ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
You will lead a team dedicated to fostering a positive work culture, managing employee relations, and driving organizational growth through effective HR practices.
KEY TASKS Develop and Implement People Strategies: Shaping and nurturing the organizational culture and leading change initiatives that align with our strategic objectives.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that promote employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Develop and oversee change management and facilitate communication and training programs to support employees through change initiatives.
HR Systems and Technology: Lead the implementation and optimization of HR systems and technology solutions to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the employee experience.
Talent Management: Partner with department heads to identify talent needs and develop strategies for attracting, onboarding, developing, and retaining top talent.
Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention through targeted programs and initiatives.
Develop and implement succession planning initiatives to identify and develop top talent, ensuring a robust pipeline of future leaders.
Reward and Recognition: Assist with compensation and benefits strategies to attract and retain top talent, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with industry standards.
Performance Management: Manage performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms.
Develop metrics to track employee performance and drive continuous improvement.
Coaching and Support: Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on performance management, career development, and employee relations.
Learning and Development: Lead the development and implementation of programs that support employee growth and skill development.
HR Trends and Best Practices: Stay ahead of HR trends and proactively recommend and implement changes to HR policies and practices.
Feedback and Continuous Improvement: Build a culture of feedback and continuous improvement.
Create and drive recognition and performance management programs.
Industrial Relations: Ensure a sound industrial relations infrastructure is in place.
Communication: Set the tone for communication across the company, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Employee Engagement and Surveys: Cultivate an emotional connection among executives and employees, and plan and carry out events and team-building initiatives.
Conduct surveys to gather employee feedback, providing insights for improving operations, products, and overall satisfaction.
• Other ad-hoc duties as required by the company.
PREREQUISITES QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Qualifications: Qualification in Human Capital Management/Human Resources with a postgraduate diploma in organizational development/change management.
Proven experience in a senior HR role, with at least 7 years of progressive leadership experience.
Thorough knowledge of labor laws and regulations, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, with a track record of ensuring compliance.
Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that drive organizational success.
Experience in succession planning, talent development, and performance management.
Professional Experience: HR Leadership: Demonstrated success in senior HR leadership roles, with a track record of driving strategic HR initiatives, building high-performance teams, and delivering measurable results.
Strategic Planning: Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, driving business growth and competitive advantage.
Change Management: Expertise in leading organizational change initiatives, guiding teams through transitions, and fostering a culture of adaptability and resilience.
Talent Management: Strong background in talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies, with a focus on building diverse and inclusive teams that drive innovation and excellence.
HR Technology: Proficiency in leveraging HR technology platforms, data analytics, and automation tools to streamline processes, enhance decision-making, and improve the employee experience.
