RGD encompasses the following business lines: Tophammer and Handheld, DTH, Rotary and Raiseboring, Ground Support, and Supply Chain. By creating a dedicated division, Epiroc aims to optimize focus across all business lines and facilitate sustainable, profitable growth.
As the Head of Global Sourcing, your mission is to build a competitive and resilient supplier base, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery to contribute to the company's overall success. You will shape the strategic direction and vision for global sourcing, fostering collaboration across regions and business lines. In this role, you will ensure that sourcing practices are sustainable, compliant, and aligned with Epiroc's values and goals.
Key Responsibilities Lead the global sourcing organization for the RGD division, reporting to the VP of Operations and actively participating in the Operations Management Team. Develop and implement strategic improvements for operational, tactical, and strategic purchasing in line with company objectives, focusing on securing multiple qualified suppliers for core products. Direct responsibility for category management, supplier development, and sourcing process optimization, ensuring the best organizational structure for global sourcing. Work closely with local and regional teams under general managers to support local sourcing efforts and ensure efficient logistics. Collaborate with R&D to qualify suppliers for all sourced products and contribute to customer value creation through innovative solutions. Represent the division in the Epiroc Sourcing Council, fostering collaboration with other divisions. Monitor and mitigate risks through metrics like inbound quality, delivery times, cost efficiency, and lead-time improvements, implementing improvement plans when necessary. Drive value creation through close partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders, continuously improving materials, reducing excess quality demands, and leveraging new technologies. Requirements Knowledge of the mining and/or metal industry, particularly in sourcing Metal. 10+ years of senior-level experience in strategic sourcing and category management. Proven leadership experience managing international teams in a global, matrix organization. Expertise in navigating complex global supply chains and working closely with suppliers, R&D, and business lines to drive innovation. Ability to mitigate supply chain risks and optimize sourcing processes, with a focus on sustainability and compliance. Location Ideally at one of our Production Center locations: Fagersta (Sweden), Fort Loudon (USA), Johannesburg (South Africa), or Hyderabad (India).
