Head of Compliance - Gauteng, JohannesburgOur client is seeking a strategic and proactive Head of Compliance to ensure the company remains at the forefront of regulatory adherence and ethical practices. This role is a unique opportunity to steer the compliance strategy within an organization that values integrity, customer centricity, and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive compliance program.
- Oversee marketing and affiliate compliance, ensuring alignment with legal standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and deliver insightful compliance performance reports.
- Champion the education and training of staff on compliance matters.
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes, particularly those pertaining to the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).
Requirements:
- A robust background in global online regulations and responsible gambling practices, including familiarity with MGA and UKGC.
- A degree in law, business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field is advantageous.
- At least 5 years in a senior compliance role within the gaming industry's regulated territory.
- Proven experience in compliance, with a minimum of 7 years in the field.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement compliance and risk management programs.
- Proficiency in finance and budget management, people management, and stakeholder engagement.
