Requisition Details & Talent Acquisition Specialist REQ 137067 - Keabetswe Modise Closing Date: 28 November 2024 Job Family Data and Analytics Career Stream Strategic Leadership Pipeline Manage Others Job Purpose To develop, support and communicate short-, medium- and long-term strategy for group data and analytics at Nedbank.
Develops and implements a strategy definition and implementation process in division, including measurements, roadmaps, priorities and milestones against long term strategy.
Provides management with corporate performance measures for data and analytics value realisation and targeted KPI's, monthly reporting updates and competitor analysis and ensures functional alignment with Group strategy.
Responsible for developing partnerships, strategic alliances and associations whilst representing the company's views effectively.
Job Responsibilities Act as custodian of Group Strategic Artefacts (for example: Dagwood; Strategic Focus Areas; Strategic Initiatives).
Compile strategic planning framework through joint facilitation with cluster strategic executives and data analytics leaders.
Lead and drive the implementation and reporting of value realisation metrics for data and analytics across clusters and enterprise at Nedbank.
Evaluate threats and opportunities in terms of impact and risk through market analytics and research in data, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence.
Implement and coordinate special cross-cutting projects for Nedbank Exco through coordination and resourcing.
Ensure execution of strategic initiatives through monitoring and benchmarking of outcomes.
Report on key strategic outcomes/results to various stakeholders (staff; regulators; shareholders; clients and communities) through reports and presentations.
Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g.
staff surveys etc.).
Research and make recommendations for corporate citizenship initiatives in area of influence.
Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (e.g.
Green Strategy).
Seek opportunities to improve business processes; models and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank.
Facilitate the formulation of strategy in the form of three-year business plan.
Identify and analyse key trends to improve business competitiveness.
Facilitate discussions on key strategic interventions through business meetings.
Provide planning guidelines and facilitate planning reviews and making strategic choices in line with business imperatives.
Review cluster aspirations; targets and milestones through analytics and reporting.
Identify opportunities to accelerate cluster aspirations using data and analytics.
Based on the function/business strategy, develop strategy for the Data & Analytics organisation, provisioning for both, critical and non-critical demand for data.
Oversee that the developed strategy is in sync with business goals and critical parameters such as key initiatives, end-state projected outcome, budget allocation etc are clearly highlighted.
Assess and estimate support required from the data organisation to fulfil the identified business/function strategy.
Consider anticipated support from other enabling functions, such as GT, Risk, Legal etc while developing the Data & Analytics strategy.
Job Responsibilities Continue Coordinate strategic initiatives and collaboration through joint planning and review sessions.
Assist in cross-cluster decision making through collaborative resolution and problem solving.
Assist in the identification of strategic opportunities for Group through market analytics and research.
Support the achievement of the business strategy; objectives and values by reviewing Nedbank and Business Unit Plan and ensuring delivered systems; process; services and solutions are aligned.
Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers.
Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed; experience practiced, and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames.
Enable skilling and required corrective action to take place by sharing knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction.
Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes (e.g.
operational processes/Gen AI) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations.
Oversee that regular scrutiny of the developed data and analytics strategy is undertaken to keep up to date with latest trends in the external environment and budget for changes taking place within the organisation.
