What You'll Be Cooking Up: As the Head Chef, you'll take charge of the estate's culinary offerings, crafting gourmet dishes that complement the estate's elegant atmosphere. From seasonal menus to exceptional guest service, your leadership will ensure every meal is a memorable one!
Key Responsibilities: ? Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and service are top-notch
? Plan and execute seasonal, farm-to-table menus ?
? Manage food procurement, stock control, and kitchen hygiene
? Lead, train, and inspire the kitchen team
? Ensure the kitchen meets financial targets with smart budgeting and cost control
? Collaborate with the front of house team to create seamless dining experiences
? Monitor food trends and maintain innovative culinary standards
What You Bring: ? 3-5 years of senior chef experience in a luxury establishment
? A passion for fine dining and a creative approach to menu planning
? Strong leadership and management skills
? Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of hygiene
? Financial acumen for budgeting and procurement
? Knowledge of local ingredients and South African wine pairings is a plus!
Salary: R25,000 – R32,000 (depending on experience)
