Group Quality Manager

East London, South Africa | Posted on 05/21/2024 The Senior Group Quality Manager will oversee the qualityassurance and control processes across two manufacturing plants. This role is crucialfor ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.The successful candidate will lead quality initiatives, maintain regulatorycompliance, and drive continuous improvement efforts across both facilities. · Develop, implement, and enforce qualityassurance policies and procedures across both manufacturing plants. · Oversee quality control processes at everystage of production, from raw material sourcing to finished product packaging. · Ensure all products and processes comply withlocal, state, and federal food safety regulations. · Prepare for and lead regulatory audits andinspections, ensuring both plants meet required standards. · Implement and maintain quality managementsystems (QMS) in line with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, HACCP). · Conduct regular internal audits andinspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. · Lead continuous improvement initiatives toenhance quality processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. · Utilize data and metrics to identify trendsand implement corrective actions. · Manage and mentor quality assurance teams atboth manufacturing plants. · Provide training and developmentopportunities to ensure staff are knowledgeable about quality standards andbest practices. Requirements · Bachelor's degree in Food Science, QualityManagement, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. · Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in aquality management role within the food manufacturing industry. · In-depth knowledge of food safety regulationsand quality standards (e.g., FDA, HACCP, ISO). · Proven track record of managing qualityassurance across multiple sites. · Strong leadership and team management skills. · Certification in Quality Management (e.g.,Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
