Graphic Designer Intern

VACANCY: Graphic Designer Intern Media24 News has a vacancy for a graphic designer in its commercial content team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for sponsored graphic design for Media24 News' various publications.
Minimum requirements: Matric/Grade 12Appropriate tertiary qualification in graphic designRelevant experiencePrevious experience in a newspaper, magazine, or advertising agency environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe design softwareWillingness to work irregular hours when necessaryMust have own reliable transportProficient and fluent in Afrikaans and EnglishExperience in design for a digital platform will be advantageousSkills and abilities: Adaptability – ability to work with different personalities in various situationsAbility to transform written text into visual materialAbility to function well within a team as well as independentlyAbility to work under pressure and deliver accurate work of high qualityEfficient time-management skillsCreativityAccountabilityDuties and responsibilities: Design and layout of infographics and any other designs for Media24 News' publications and any special publicationsSupport to the sales representatives with all aspects regarding graphic designHandling of complete materialRetouching of photography and deep etchingHandling the production flow from all designs to final print stageAccurate placement of all designsDesign of print advertisements and print materials for all marketing communication projectsIf you meet the above requirements and would like to be part of this team, feel free to apply.
