We are currently accepting applications for the following position located in the Witbank, Mpumalanga area. The succesful candidate will be responsible to assist the safe and cost-effective extraction of coal resources and reserves by generating, processing, interpreting and reporting of geological information using Geological Models and relevant software in a format that can be utilised for optimal mine planning and eventual economic extraction.
Key Responsibilities

Borehole logging, planning and updating of mine plans.
Ensuring quality through efficient Grade Control Practice (i.e. Horizon control, yield management & contamination).
Mapping of geological features.
Assisting and coaching production personnel responsible for mining operations (i.e. ensuring that the grade profile and monthly planned/forecast yields are achieved).
Managing geological databases.
Assisting with Coal Quality simulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Geology.
Driver's license (Code EB/08).

Minimum Experience:

Completed Graduate Development Programme or minimum 2 years' relevant experience.
