The Opportunity As the Pre-Opening Specialist General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in bringing Few & Far's vision to life.
This is a contract position, ideal for experienced hospitality professionals seeking a challenging and rewarding project-based role.
You will be responsible for all aspects of pre-opening, ensuring a smooth and successful launch of the lodge.
Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Oversee all pre-opening activities, adhering to timelines and budgets.
Team Leadership: Build, recruit, and train a high-performing team across all departments.
Operational Excellence: Develop and implement operational procedures for all departments, ensuring exceptional guest service standards.
Quality Control: Meticulously inspect and approve all aspects of the lodge's construction, design, and furnishing.
Vendor Relations: Establish and manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
Financial Oversight: Manage pre-opening budgets and ensure adherence to financial protocols.
Marketing & Sales: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop pre-opening strategies and generate excitement.
Sustainability Practices: Champion Few & Far's commitment to sustainable operations and guest experiences.
Government Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and safety regulations.
Your Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of experience in luxury hospitality management, with a proven track record of successful property openings, ideally safari lodges.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate, and train a new team.
In-depth knowledge of all aspects of luxury lodge operations, from food and beverage to guest services.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to the highest quality standards.
Passion for sustainability and a desire to implement eco-friendly practices within the lodge.
Experience working in remote locations is a plus.
Strong systems and administration skills.
