General Engineering Supervisor

Mpumalanga (Need to currently reside in Mpumalanga)R800k - R600k/Annum (Benefits Include Pension, Medical & Bonuses)Our client is seeking a General Engineering Supervisor to oversee all engineering activities in an underground coal mine, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This role includes managing maintenance, supervising engineering teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations. This person needs to come from an engineering background and not a miner background.RequirementsMinimum education (essential):Grade 12Minimum of N4 Certificate (Preferably electrical engineering)Foreman Certificate preferableMinimum Applicable Experience (years):At least 7 years of experience within an underground environment (Huge advantage of underground coal experience)The person must have an engineering background, not a miner background.Underground mining experience is a non-negotiable, so please do not apply if you do not have this experience.Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the mining industry.Proven leadership and project management skills.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Oversee maintenance and repair of mining equipment.Supervise and manage engineering staff and contractors.Plan and execute engineering projects and upgrades.Monitor and optimize operational efficiency.Prepare regulatory reports and maintain documentation.Provide technical support to other departments.Develop and implement staff training programs.
