Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlanning and developing the fundraising elements of the Organisational Development plan to ensure accurate budgets are developed for the operations of the organisationManaging and diversifying current fundraising strategies and ensuring the support database is being effectively utilised in order to maximise income and loyalty to the organisationDrafting funding proposals.Analysing fundraising programmes and trends to ensure effective investment in channels, including Return on Investment (ROI) and value of programmes, and report this information back to the NED and coordinating all funding applications being made nationally to corporates or Trust.Develop and conduct training where needed, to develop their fundraising capacity, particularly around proposal development. At times even to the point of leading/facilitating the proposal development and writing process. Public Relations/MarketingDevelop marketing materials for corporate / institutional donors.Attending events, conferences and meetingsPublicationsCommunicating monthly with member organisations through newslettersCommunicating quarterly with stakeholders Reporting to donors - Record keepingDeveloping and nurturing donor relationshipsIdentifying and cultivating prospective donors Desired Experience & QualificationQualification:Post matric 3-year qualification and a diploma or degree in fundraising, Public Relation, Business Admin/Communications or related qualification.Valid driver's licenseExperience:A proven track-record in fundraising, CSI or related fieldsA minimum of 5 years' experience in proposal and grant writing, either and preferably in a non-profit organisation or in the commercial/corporate sector.Proven experience of setting, managing and delivering on targetsSubstantial experience in marketing, branding and media managementGood knowledge of traditional and non-traditional fundraising modelExtensive personal and professional network offering potential to raise substantial funding. Experience in fundraising techniques, especially analysis of fundraising and marketing dataEssential skills, attributes and abilities:Proven ability to develop and write excellent proposals.A high level of proficiency in English.An understanding of the local and international donors, the NPO sector and fundraising trends.High level computer literacy (MS Office).Ability to work under pressure, and willing to work after hours when faced with deadlines.
