Responsibilities Plan delivery routes to minimize time spend on the road. Ensure to follow all delivery instructions given by Supervisors. Ensure schedules are priority based to give effective customer service. Ensure continues improvement of customer service and delivery times by using technology that is available. Always checking the stock loaded is what is reflected on the invoice and report any discrepancies to the Supervisors. Ensure that the use of pallets to and from customers is controlled in accordance with the laid down procedure. Ensure that the drivers always have his license with him Ensure that you always have your procedure file in your truck. In the event of an accident, you must make sure that you obtain the relevant information as prescribed on the Motor Accident Procedure Form given to you to sign. Ensure that the truck you are driving is always clean and all the necessary inspections on oils, water and tyres are carried out and signed off daily. Ensure that a signed trip sheet is handed over with all pods and returned notes to the supervisor at the end of the day. Ensure that the supervisor receives all if any returns from the trade Always adhere to road safety rules and regulations You will be responsible to perform housekeeping duties during slack periods as follows: ? Clean all dustbins daily. ? Fill the drinking fountain water bottle. ? Clean the outside area in front of the warehouse. ? Repair all broken pallets. ? Sweep the inside of the warehouse. ? Keep the kitchen area clean and tidy. ? Floor stock must be dusted on a regular basis. ? Company pool car must be washed and vacuumed every second week. ? Packing off customer orders on blue pallets when required. ? Phoning clients on a regular basis to find out if they have any empty pallets to return back Check and sign for stock received from the factory daily. ? Count and verify the stock according to the Production sheet made out by the Shift Manager ? When all in order make sure you signed and take a copy to hand in with the Warehouse/Dispatch Supervisor. ? After stock is verified, you can open the door for the forklift drivers to load the stock on the truck and deliver to the warehouse. Ensure Forklift Truck is properly maintained Checking oil level, water level, fuel gauge, battery electrolyte, foot brake, transmission level, brake fluid and lifting and lowering, tilting of forks, leaks in general daily before opening. Production/Waste Ensure that all Peeling Machines have a regular supply of billets Stacking pallets of billets next to Peeling Machines ready for use. Removing empty pallets from peeling machines To assist with loading of logs in the drag pit. To remove and stack VPO production in the production bay. Removing waste with forklift truck Taking drums of dust from polishing drum to boiler. Removing log dry ends from Saw Complex to boiler house. Removing bark from Cambio Back Conveyor to Boiler.
