Reporting: QC SupervisorLocation: MaitlandKey ResponsibilitiesTo ensure the Environmental Monitoring Schedule is adhered to. Investigate non-conformances to understand the cause and take preventative action to prevent recurrence. Control any non-conforming material. The graduate food technologist will work on a wide range of tasks within the quality assurance department, assisting other Food Technologists to ensure compliance with BRCGS requirements. This role includes implementation and updates of systems.Job ObjectivesPerform investigations of Internal NCRs swiftly in accordance with company procedures and policies.Ensure adherence to the environmental monitoring schedule.Meet deadlines of tasks.Implement BRCGS in the organization and update procedures for ongoing BRCGS certification.Key Functional AreasNon-conformance Investigations / CommunicationsEnvironmental testing + Allergen SwabbingReview testing results against specificationsQC VerificationsGlass and Hard plastic trendingCustomer service: COAs/COCs, shelf life extensions, QuestionnairesGMP audits & day-to-day monitoring of GMP practices in the factoryProviding Operational support when neededReview and update proceduresOther tasks: Training, Staff engagement meetings, Traceability studies, mock recalls, mass balances, consumable ordering, requesting ongoing supplier approval documentationThe graduate food technologist will assist other Food Technologists to ensure compliance with BRCGS requirements and implement updates of systems.Required Knowledge & SkillsProficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)Excellent written and verbal communication skills (particularly in English) to effectively communicate with staff at all levelsAccurate and concise work to ensure information provided is clear and understandableGood research skillsStrong administrative skillsRequired Prior Learning/ ExperienceB. Tech/ Advanced Diploma in Food Consumer Sciences, B.Tech / Advanced Diploma Food Technology/ B. Sc Food Science / B. Sc Biotechnology or other relevant science degree. Copies of qualifications must be submitted with a CVMinimum 0 - 1 year relevant industry experiencePrior training/experience in internal auditing, HACCP, BRCGS standard will be advantageous.Proficient in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel, Word)Personal CharacteristicsTime Management SkillsDetail-orientedHighly organizedIndependentSelf-motivatedSystematic thinkingPositive attitude and proactiveIf you have not received a response within two weeks of the closing date for applications, kindly consider your application unsuccessful.
