Food Saftey And Hygiene Technologist

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Training employees on proper food handling techniques and food safety policies and procedures
Maintaining proper documentation of all food safety procedures
Writing food safety protocols
Understanding and implementing all food safety laws, based on FSSC22000, GFSI & FSA
Evaluating the quality of food products brought into the establishment.
Conducting internal food safety audits
Responding to any food safety-related complaints from staff or customers
Conduct monthly maintenance audits and issue job cards based on non-conformances.
Conduct/Collect and submit micro samples as per micro schedule.
Update Food safety policies and procedures as required.
Maintain the Pest control file and non-conformances raised.
Conduct food safety meetings monthly with food safety team.
Update and maintain supplier files and conduct supplier audits based on risk assessment.
Conduct mock recalls on Ingredients, packaging, and finished goods.
Manage all cleaners on dayshift and nightshift.
Update and maintain all cleaning policies, procedures, and checklists.
Conduct daily verification on cleaning.
Manage and control the chemical and consumable usage.
To provide supervision, conduct competency assessments and deliver training.

REQUIREMENTS:

Matric
Must be computer literate.
Practical knowledge and experience in FSSC22000, HACCP implementation
Degree preference in food technology, food science or microbiology.

Ability to work without supervision.
Assertive and able to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills
Literate (able to read and write)
