Responsibilities:
Managing food and beverage operations within budget and to the highest standards.
Assist Lodge Management in day-to-day operations, consistent with company standards to achieve optimum financial results.
Monitor policies and procedures to ensure operations and financial controls are met.
Identify customers' needs and respond proactively to their concerns.
Lead F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training, and appraising talented personnel.
Establish targets, KPIs, schedules, policies, and procedures.
Provide two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment emphasizing motivation and teamwork.
Comply with all health and safety regulations.
Report to management regarding sales results and productivity.
Monitor reporting structures to ensure information is readily available for reporting to management.
Assist with financial management as indicated by management.
Mastery in delegating multiple tasks.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Stay up to date with food and beverage trends and best practices.
Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets.
Guest-oriented and service-minded.
Build relationships and motivate staff to develop a culture that ensures constant growth in product output.
Represent the establishment when dealing with management, staff, and guests.
Achieve good communication and enforce agreed management decisions and policies.
Instill a culture of learning and assist in creating a supportive environment for staff and guests.
Stand in for the Assistant RM during their off days or other commitments.
Coordinate and monitor all F&B rosters.
Train all staff and ensure all SOPs are followed.
Greet guests and allocate rooms according to procedures.
Supervise and control the reception area, registration, and room allocation of all guests.
Host guests in reception or public areas as needed.
Assist the Assistant RM with administrative tasks as per SOPs.
Take on the role of manager on duty when rostered.
Minimum Experience & Requirements:
At least 2-3 years' experience in a related field with a solid track record in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Matric is a minimum requirement; further qualifications are a bonus.
Valid RSA ID.
Valid RSA Driver's license.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially with good to advanced Excel skills.
Good working knowledge of hospitality PMS; NEBULA & PLUSPOINT would be a bonus.
