Fleet Manager

Our client is seeking a Fleet Manager to join their team, based in East London.
Successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of the fleet and plant equipment, ensuring efficient operations and cost-effective solutions.
Minimum Requirements:-
Qualification in LogisticsMinimum 5 years' fleet management experiencePrevious experience in fleet maintenance and repairs essentialKey Responsibilities:-
Develop and implement fleet management strategies and policies to ensure efficient and cost-effective operationsDevelop and maintain a budget for fleet operations including forecasting and tracking expensesManage a team of fleet supervisors and administrative staff to ensure smooth and timely execution of fleet maintenance and repairsOversee driver recruitment, training, and performance evaluationsMonitor and analyse fleet performance, including vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actionsOversee the acquisition and disposal of fleet vehicles, ensuring compliance with company policies and proceduresNegotiate and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of fleet vehicles and partsEnsure all vehicles are properly maintained and serviced according to manufacturer guidelines and best practiceDevelop and maintain a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and maximize the lifespan of fleet vehiclesConduct regular audits and inspections of fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure they meet safety and quality standardsProvide regular reports to management on fleet performance, budget, and any issues or concernsEnsure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards in the management of the fleetStay informed about industry trends and developments to make informed decisions for the fleetManage / book all plant, vehicle, and equipment, movement, etc.Calculate operator hours / plant allocations / project allocations, and supply costings to the finance team
