Financial Manager

Qualifications: CA(SA) Skills: Consolidations Deferred Tax Advanced Excel Syspro / SAP Job description: Prepare Annual Financial Statements and manage consolidations for over 12 entities under the group. Handle VAT, SARS submissions, and manage SARS queries for multiple entities within the company umbrella. Serve as a backup to the Group Financial Manager, gaining extensive exposure and grooming for potential advancement to Group FM. Oversee financials for approximately 12 legal entities, managing up to trial balance, and producing management accounts and financial packs. Lead and manage annual audits across all 18 companies within the group. Supervise the Debtors and Creditors departments, with department managers reporting directly to this role. Collaborate with a nationwide finance team of approximately 35 staff members. Consolidate financial books at the group level, working with senior accountants who report into this role. Handle complex tax matters, including deferred tax and extensive VAT responsibilities. Draft consolidated financial statements and company-specific financial statements. Perform tax computations and submissions to SARS, along with managing tax queries. Participate in corporate actions such as restructures, acquisitions, disposals, and mergers. Develop and implement business processes and internal financial controls.
