Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the reconciliation of all accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Maintain and optimize financial reporting systems, accounting procedures, and internal controls for effective financial management.
Produce accurate and complete monthly management accounts, adhering to strict reporting deadlines.
Manage financial accounting processes, including the preparation of accurate monthly statutory returns.
Ensure the reconciliation of all general ledger accounts and the alignment of sub-modules to the trial balance.
Maintain and review the companys asset registers, ensuring accuracy and performing annual reviews.
Oversee efficient year-end processes, including timely submission of financial year-end reports and facilitating external audits.
Lead the full budgeting process and provide regular operational expenditure reports.
Manage and reconcile all bank accounts, ensuring proper processing, payment approvals, and timely releases.
Handle internal billing processes and group reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and eliminating errors.
Oversee property-related accounting functions and maintain accurate records.
Analyze financial data, including actual results and forecasts, to identify trends and provide insights to management.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain the security of financial information in collaboration with the IT department.
Prepare financial reports and provide actionable insights to management.
Guide and mentor financial clerical staff to ensure high performance and development.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field ( BCom required).
Minimum of 7 years relevant working experience in a financial accounting role.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of financial systems, reporting, and controls.
Proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting tools.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
